I started playing football for my local team, München Cowboys before moving onto the Ingolstadt Dukes where we got promoted to GFL1 (German's top division). I then was given the opportunity to play for Schwabisch Unicorns and was honored to win the German Bowl with them. I used to play soccer when I was younger, and I was pretty good! Then as I got older, I got bigger and stronger and outgrew the game (literally)! I had a buddy at the time that asked if I wanted to go to training with the Cowboys and then it was my turn. My size became an advantage and I stayed with it & never looked back.
When I got the call, it was an indescribable feeling. I could hardly believe it; it was the call of my life! I put in a lot of work into my training and sacrificed to get here and it feels good to have the opportunity to show what I can do at the highest level (the National Football League)! Since arriving in DC I had to quarantine when I originally landed, so I haven't really been able to see the city yet. I know I will get a chance to do so in the near future and I am really looking forward to experiencing Washington.
I feel ready for training camp, I have been training hard back in Germany and can't wait to get started. I have missed the game so much and I'm excited to get back on the field. I am thankful to Coach Rivera and Washington for the opportunity that I have been given and it is a new adventure and new chapter in my life.
