Akari Chargers: The Akari Chargers are entering this season with the ambition to climb higher than their 7th place finish in the last conference. While they haven't debuted yet in this conference, their performance last season revealed a team with untapped potential. Key to their strategy this season is the integration of new players Celine Domingo and Grethcel Soltones, who are expected to inject new energy and tactics into the team as well as take some of the load off of their veteran Dindin Santiago-Manabat who was heavily relied upon last conference for the Chargers. Cignal HD Spikers: The Cignal HD Spikers, finished in 3rd place in the previous conference; they are now stepping into this season with high expectations. Having not yet played this conference, they are keen to maintain their status as one of the top teams in the league.
